Terms of Use

1. Service. These terms cover Proxy Twins, a service operated by Tauntu [legal entity TBD].
2. Pilot. Proxy Twins is a test service. It may change, break or shut down. We'll give [14] days' notice and an export where possible.
3. 18+ only. You must be 18 or older to use Proxy Twins, and you confirm this when you join a league.
4. Your twin is you. You may only create a twin of yourself, from your own answers. Never create a twin of, or impersonate, anyone else.
5. Leagues. Private leagues are invite-only. An owner may give a league a theme (e.g. a book, band, team, campus or food) and may list it in Discover. Anyone 18+ can then request to join, and the owner approves or denies each request. Owners can kick or block members and review reports. Listed leagues always use the mild roast level and a stricter set of off-limits topics, because members may not know each other. Theme names you type are yours. They don't imply any affiliation with, or endorsement by, any real school, team, artist, author or brand. Themes must not target real people outside the league or contain hate.
6. Consent and control. Joining a league means you opt in to your twin playing nightly and being roasted by other twins within your off-limits topics and roast level. You can veto any card about you, report any card, leave, and delete your twin at any time.
7. Roast and content policy. Not allowed (filtered automatically, but imperfectly): slurs or hate; sexual content; threats or self-harm; jokes about anyone's pain, grief, loss or illness; claims about anyone's health, crimes, addictions or relationships; anything on a member's off-limits list; targeting people outside the league; personal information. Reports: any member can report a card. A card with 2 reports is hidden until the owner reviews it. Owners can hide cards and remove members. You can also contact [EMAIL TBD].
8. AI-generated content. Game lines, reels, songs, lyrics, the league band, the league novel, cover art and lore are generated by AI (Google Gemini) and are fiction. They are not statements of fact by you, us or other members, and may be wrong or unfunny. We instruct the AI to write original material and never quote copyrighted songs or books, and we filter long quotations, but we can't guarantee it. Tell us about any problem and we'll remove it.
9. Who owns creations. To the extent AI output can be owned, league creations (songs, lyrics, novel chapters, cards) belong jointly to the league's members [TBD by counsel; AI-output ownership varies by country]. You give Proxy Twins a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and format them for your league, including as shareable story images. You may share cards you appear in. Ask the people featured before sharing other cards outside the league. Proxy Twins won't publish your league's content publicly without asking.
10. Lore and profile data in games. Your twin uses your interview answers. If you choose to add them, it also uses your optional taste answers (music, books, shows, games). Your guilty pleasure is only used if you tick the opt-in. League lore (running nicknames and in-jokes) is generated from games and visible to all league members.
11. Streaks, seasons, badges, collectibles and avatar flair. These are earned only by playing. They are never sold, have no cash or monetary value, can't be bought, traded or redeemed, and may be reset when seasons change or the pilot ends.
12. No real-money stakes. Proxy Twins has no money, prizes, buy-ins, wagering or gambling of any kind. Optional forfeits are non-cash favours or dares that every involved member must opt in to. They are informal promises between friends, not enforceable obligations. Forfeits can't involve money, cash equivalents, payment apps, crypto, gift cards or payment links (these are blocked automatically). Anyone involved can decline or cancel a forfeit before it resolves. Nothing unsafe, illegal or humiliating. Alcohol forfeits must be optional and legal where you are.
13. No voice or likeness cloning. Proxy Twins doesn't clone voices or use photos of you. Avatars are stylised cartoons.
14. Email. We email you login links and, if a league owner invites you, a one-time invite. No marketing email without your consent.
15. Ending. You can stop at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
16. Liability. Provided "as is". [Limitation of liability, governing law (New Caledonia/France? Australia? TBD), dispute terms and operator entity TBD by counsel.]
